Target Audience
This course is open to all healthcare providers and is targeted to primary care providers - Physicians, PAs, NPs, RNs, and Pharmacists.

Learning Objectives

  • Describe the economic and human cost of COPD in the United States and in the world.
  • Identify factors that contribute to the development and exacerbation of COPD.
  • Describe appropriate measures to prevent COPD.
  • Apply evidence-based medical and physical therapies and guidelines for decreasing morbidity and mortality from COPD.
  • Establish a best practices office or hospital-based modified pulmonary rehabilitation program including utilizing referral resources where available.
